The cheapest way to use Seedance in 2026
We priced a standard 8-second 720p Seedance clip on every major platform. Here's what it actually costs — and why the differences are so large.
Real cost of one 8-second 720p Seedance clip
| Platform | Cost per clip | Model access | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| WaveVideo | ~$0.88 in credits | Direct | Starter plan: $9.9/mo = 900 credits |
| Dreamina (official) | $1.06–1.29 | Direct | Chinese ecosystem signup |
| Runway | $2.32–2.88 | Via credits | Great editor, premium pricing |
| Krea | ~$1.5–2 equivalent | Aggregated | $9/mo tier has tight credit limits |
| Higgsfield | ~25 credits / 5s | Aggregated | Plans from $9 to $84/mo |
Why the same model costs 2–4× more elsewhere
Every platform above runs the same underlying Seedance model — the output quality is identical. What differs is the supply chain:
- Retail API resellers buy per-call at international list prices and add a margin on top.
- Aggregators bundle 60+ models into one subscription, so their credit pricing has to cover their most expensive models — you subsidize what you don't use.
- WaveVideo runs Seedance through licensed high-volume compute partners with committed capacity, purpose-built for these models. Lower cost per second, passed on to you.
The honest caveat: we don't bundle 60 models or a timeline editor. If you want one subscription for everything, an aggregator is a fine choice. If you want the most Seedance for your money, that's what we're built for.
Frequently asked questions
Is the quality the same as official Seedance?
Yes — it's the same full model ("满血版"), not a distilled or limited variant. Prompt in, video out, identical weights.
Are there hidden limits?
No unlimited-plan bait and no throttling games. You get a transparent monthly credit balance; each generation shows its exact credit cost before you click generate.
What about 1080p and 4K pricing?
1080p costs 2× the 720p credit rate. 4K (Seedance 2.5) pricing will be published the day it launches.
Can I just use the official Dreamina app?
You can — it's ByteDance's consumer product and it's good. The friction is the Chinese-ecosystem signup, interface and payment flow. If those don't bother you, it's a legitimate option; we exist for everyone else.
